Meet The Team: Andy!
Hi, this is Andy! I was born in Japan and grew up between cultures from the very beginning. Before the age of five, I had already lived on three continents - Japan, Morocco, and Canada, and eventually grew up in Montreal. Travel was always part of family life, with yearly adventures alongside my two brothers and parents. My mom often said that travel is the best education you can get, a lesson that stuck with me and continues to shape how I experience the world today.
Originally trained as an architect, I’ve always been fascinated by how people interact with their environments - cities, cultures, and each other. Over time my path has taken a few creative turns, blending design, acting, and a strong interest in personal development and mental well-being. What ties these passions together is a deep appreciation for both art and life: the stories people carry, the places that shape them, and the moments of connection that happen when we step outside our usual routines.
As an adult, I spent five years living in Japan, reconnecting with my roots and deepening my understanding of the culture. In 2020, I moved to Vancouver arriving around the same time as the pandemic (I promise I’m nicer than the timing suggests). I came to pursue acting and continue to work between film, television, and theatre while training and performing in the city.
I’m fluent in English, French, and Japanese, and I enjoy bringing people together across cultures and perspectives. As a trip leader, I love helping travelers discover new places while creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable, curious, and connected. For me, the most memorable parts of travel are often the unexpected moments: key moments in conversations, shared laughter within the group, and those small discoveries that turn a trip into something meaningful long after the journey ends.
