Meet The Team: Beau!

Hi I’m Beau! I’m originally from Melbourne, Australia, and I’m happiest when I’m outside. If there are trees, water, or a hiking trail involved, I’m in. I will swim in almost anything that looks swimmable, attempt to ski when there is snow, and I am currently trying to convince myself I can become an oil painter of landscapes. Jury is still out.

I travel because I love getting swept up in the everyday rhythm of a place. Of course, I am up for the big landmarks, but I am more interested in how people actually live, what they eat, how they talk and where they gather. I love noticing the small cultural details and the differences in nature from country to country. The animals, the trees, the coastline, the feeling in the air. It all fascinates me.

A few years ago, I renovated a van and drove 44,000 km around Australia in a year. Remote Western Australia was a highlight. Hours without seeing another car, beaches completely to myself, and yes, the occasional very freeing swim without a swimsuit when no one else was around. I also learned some practical lessons, like not driving into what looks like a harmless dried riverbed. Getting towed out by another slightly lost traveler builds character.

As a Trip Leader, I am excited to create trips that feel like traveling with a great group of friends. I love bringing people together, finding those unexpected moments that turn into inside jokes, and building the perfect playlist for every adventure. Because nothing hits quite like hearing that one song years later and being instantly transported back to that trip.
