Extension: Oktoberfest in Munich
SEPTEMBER 28 - OCTOBER 1, 2026
Raise a stein and join the world’s biggest beer celebration! Get ready for lederhosen, oompah bands, and some of the most joyful days you’ll ever spend at one long table. This 3-night getaway precedes our river cruise adventure and brings you right into the heart of Munich during legendary Oktoberfest, the world’s largest folk festival and one massive multi-day celebration of Bavarian culture, music, and beer. Think enormous tents overflowing with laughter, locals in traditional dress, lively parades, fairground rides, and an atmosphere that’s impossible not to get swept up in.
We’ll be based in central Munich so you can enjoy the festival at your own pace, with easy access to the historic old town, beer gardens shaded by chestnut trees, and grand squares perfect for people-watching. Between Oktoberfest festivities, climb church towers for epic city views, stroll through the English Garden, or explore impressive palaces and museums. And yes, we’ll make sure you know exactly how the tents work, how to reserve seats, and most importantly… how to raise your stein like a pro.
This is the perfect add-on if you want a quick escape full of culture, celebration, and new friends. Munich does Oktoberfest like nowhere else so pull on your dirndl or lederhosen (totally optional but encouraged!) and come experience the festival everyone should do at least once in their lives.
